Is it worth investing time (and money) in Embarcadero’s C++ Builder and Firemonkey? [on hold]

For a long time now I’ve been wanting and observing evolution of XE technology at Embarcadero and there was always something that I was unhappy about, mostly the oldfashioned look and the “other” things.
But recently I’ve tried XE8 and I have to say that I’m very, very positively surprised. The IDE looks clean, the compiler is really modern (compared to VS) and I really like the Firemonkey platform.
So what’s my question?
My question is?
Is Firemonkey and C++ Builder used by many people or is it just some niche of very specialized professionals who use it?
I’d really like to use it but I’m worrying that I’ll be learning technology that isn’t used by many people.
Any informative replies really appreciated.
Thank you.
