RAD Studio XE6 Launch event in Antwerpen

RAD Studio XE6 has been recently launched and now it is time to show all its great new features to developers in every corner of the world. Embarcadero technical evangelists and Embarcadero MVPs from different countries are super busy travelling and presenting on live events.
My first XE6 live event was yesterday in Antwerpen in Belgium. The level of interest in new and existing RAD Studio XE6 features was very high and the atmosphere very good.

The majority of our existing Delphi and C++Builder developers are primarily focused on building desktop applications for Windows, so they were very happy to see Embarcadero’s commitment to improving and extending the VCL framework.
In the presentation I had a great time showing:

New Windows 7/8 taskbar buttons component
Improvements to VCL styling and brand new VCL styles
Visual LiveBindings for displaying data in non-data aware VCL components like TListView
FireDAC for the best database access
Improvements to how TDataSet deals with persisted fields
Building DataSnap systems with FireDAC and JSON reflection
Brand new App Tethering technology
New “Backend-as-a-Service” client components
New C++Builder support for building native Android mobile apps
FireMonkey new “App Monetization” components
… and much more!

Probably the most interest was around brand new App Tethering and BAAS client demos.
Next week I will be showing RAD Studio XE6 in Utrecht (NL) and also in Turkey! See you there!
